WWE Still Planning On Roman Reigns As Their Next Top Face

December 19, 2014 | Posted by Joseph Lee

– WWE is still planning on having Roman Reigns win the 2015 Royal Rumble and defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 31. This decision comes even with some critics worried about Reigns’ readiness for that level of a push. His critics think he needs to work on his promo skills and work better in long singles matches.

WWE needs a new top babyface and is sticking with their choice of Reigns. Early plans included Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. Bryan isn’t ready to come back yet and “isn’t WWE’s type”, regardless of fan reactions. Orton, obviously, wouldn’t be a new star. Dean Ambrose is said to be next in line. While he is considered a better in-ring worker and promo guy, he doesn’t fit the “WWE mold”. Both men are said to be doing well with merchandise, as Ambrose’s new hooded sweatshirt was #1 over Thanksgiving. Once again, this isn’t changing WWE’s plans to put Reigns at the top of the mountain.
