February 27, 2013 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

CVG reports that Electronic Arts is expected to announce an exclusivity partnership with Microsoft for the new Xbox console.

Terms of the partnership are currently unknown, but the publisher is expected to announce staggered release dates and exclusive DLC for titles such as Battlefield 4. Electronic Arts was absent from the PS4 unveiling event, but they have confirmed support for the new console.

Microsoft will is set to unveil the new Xbox at a media event on April 26. Reportedly, the firm is said to have been caught off guard by the Sony PS4 announcement which has apparently changed the timing of the plans to unveil the new Xbox.

The Xbox 720 is said to launch during the 2013 holiday season with Kinect 2.0, 3D technology, and the long-rumored Xbox TV.
