Microsoft Rumored to Announce Their New Xbox Console at E3 This Year

January 3, 2013 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

DigitalSpy reports that Microsoft will announce their new Xbox console at E3 this year according to new speculation.

The rumor is based on a timer that was posted by Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb that is counting down the days, hours, minutes and even milliseconds to E3 2013. The assumption is that a major announcement for Microsoft’s new Xbox console is being planned for E3 very far in advance of the convention.

Last month, the new system was reportedly in the beta stage with development kits being sent out to game studios. The console was first being reported under the codename of “Durango.” However, the system is now being referenced with the word “Kryptos.”
