Nintendo Switch Won’t Have Virtual Console at Launch
When the Nintendo Switch arrives on March 3rd, it will be lacking a key feature that owners are expecting. Nintendo stated as part of a press release on Friday that when the new console launches it will be without the Virtual Console, which uses emulation to allow for play of classic video games.
“Virtual Console games will not be available on Nintendo Switch at launch. We will share more information in the future,” said the release.
Many features are set to be enabled with a minor day-one update but as of now there is no word on when the Virtual Console will be available. The system will run $299.
