[PODCAST] 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons Actual Play – Eberron: Heirs of Destiny 13

May 15, 2017 | Posted by John Bates

Hello folks, and welcome to another episode of Eberron: Heirs of Destiny! We’re back for another week of magic, prophecy and hijinks within the D&D setting of Eberron, played with Fifth Edition rules.

Bringing us up to speed if you’re just tuning in, our party of young would-be heroes were working under the auspices of Lady Elaydren d’Vown of House Cannith within the city of Sharn. After uncovering an ancient schema, a piece of a magical pattern that was located in an ancient foundry in the depths of Sharn, the group became wrapped up in an apparent conspiracy that was mysteriously centered around them. While dealing with an assassination attempt that targeted Elaydren, the party found details of Draconic Prophecy that may have had something to do with them located within a temple inhabited by the Order of the Emerald Claw. After mostly dealing with that group — with the exception of the leader Garrow getting away — the group absconded with Edwin having picked up a book that had several disturbing details about the group and how certain things may have been influenced in order to make some piece of Prophecy happen.

Edwin kept the book to himself for a little while, while the group decided to look into a map they had discovered in the foundry way back when. People handled some business in the city, with Edwin speaking to Zaz for advice while Seth went to do a little burglary to make some money and a trip to Perandon providing some new information for them. Elaydren asked them to go to the Library of Korranberg where an old Cannith ledger was contained, held without the Library’s knowledge. Ilmari d’Thuranni supplied a way to to potentially distract the guards while they palmed the book in the form of a gem. After plans were semi-set, Edwin was confronted about the book and secrets came out. And that is where we left off.
