Pokemon GO Speed Limit Decreased, Legendary Birds Coming Soon

January 3, 2017 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Niantic appears to have dropped the speed limit for Pokemon GO back down. Otakukart reports that the game, which saw the speed limit by which players could train their Pokemon increased a couple of weeks ago, seems to be back down a bit to between twenty and twenty-five miles per hour.

The speed limit was instituted in order to keep players from potentially playing the game while driving as a safety issue, and was increased in order to allow passengers and disabled players to play the game with more freedom. Niantic did not make a formal announcement about the limit dropping, but players noticed the change and some have tested it out in order to determine where the new line is.

In addition, iTechPost reports that the long-awaited release of Legendary Birds for the game is looking at a Spring release. The creatures have been long-anticipated by trainers and was originally rumored to be released during the holidays, though that never came about.

It is worth noting that Niantic has yet to confirm this release window, so take it with a grain of salt.
