Street Fighter X Tekken Could Get Next Generation Console Release
Street Fighter X Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada hinted on his Twitter account that the game could be getting a next-generation console release for the crossover fighting game.
Harada told his Twitter followers that the team was “changing and considering the platform strategy.” The complete tweet reads “I said ‘under development’ few days ago. We are changing & considering platform strategy. That’s why we don’t say anything.Thx.”
The new game was previously announced at Comic-Con 2010 and the Namco Bandai-produced title will feature Street Fighter and Tekken characters fighting in a Tekken game engine. The Street Fighter X Tekken game by Capcom was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 last March and was followed by a PC and PS Vita release later in the year.
