Amanda Nunes Releases First Statement Following UFC 213 Withdrawal

– Earlier today, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes backed out of her scheduled title defense at UFC 213 against Valentina Shevchenko. UFC President Dana White claims that Nunes and her team pulled out of the fight despite being cleared by doctors after the Brazilian was feeling off in the final days leading up to her fight. At this time, the UFC is targeting the fight to take place at UFC 215 on September 9th, which takes place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
