Talk MMA (via MMAFighting.com) initially reported that a UFC women’s bantamweight title bout is in the works for UFC 213. The fight would see champion Amanda Nunes defend her title against Valentina Shevchenko for the upcoming fight card.

The UFC has not yet formally announced the title bout. The fight would be a rematch from UFC 196 last year, which Nunes won by decision. Since the loss, Shevchenk won back-to-back fights, including a win over former champion Holly Holm and a submission win over Juliana Pena.

UFC 213 is set for July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada during International Fight Week. The main card will be broadcast live on PPV. Prelims will be shown on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. A men’s bantamweight title bout is also scheduled for the fight card, with champion Cody Garbrandt set to defend his belt against former champion TJ Dillashaw.
