Benson Henderson Says Jorge Masvidal is Tougher Than Fans Realize

Benson Henderson told MMAjunkie that his opponent switch for UFC Fight Night 79 may not seem like a tougher situation on him, but that fighters know otherwise. Henderson was set to face Thiago Alves in the main event of the show, but Alves suffered an injury and Henderson will face Jorge Masvidal instead.

“Among us fighters, we know how tough Jorge Masvidal is,” Henderson said. “But general fans, they don’t quite understand the name and realize how tough he is compared with Thiago Alves.”

UFC Fight Night 79 takes place Saturday from Seoul, South Korea.
