C.B. Dollaway Injured in Freak Elevator Accident, Forced to Withdraw From UFC 203

The UFC announced in an official statement that C.B. Dollaway was injured in a freak elevator accident at a hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. As a result, Dollaway has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout with Francimar Barroso at UFC 203. You can read UFC’s full statement below.

FOX Sports 1 that the host hotel for the event had several problems for its lone working elevator. At one point on Friday (Sept. 9), the elevator malfunctioned, and it caused the entire structure to drop several floors to the basement.

Urijah Faber was reportedly involved with the incident, and he shared an account of it on his Instagram account, which you can see below. He also tagged Dollaway, so it appears this was the incident where Dollaway was hurt.

UFC announced that CB Dollaway has had to withdraw from his scheduled bout at UFC 203 due to an injury he suffered last night as a result of an elevator accident at a hotel in Cleveland.

UFC officials have been in communication with hotel management, and the hotel is currently evaluating and investigating the issues surrounding the incident.
