Caio Rocha Hopes Titan FC 38 Will Begin Regular Fighting Schedule

April 30, 2016 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Caio Rocha (4-0) said that he hoped tonight’s Titan FC 38 will be the start of a regular fighting schedule for him. He iwll fight Peter Petties (3-0). The event happens at the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami. It streams on UFC Fight Pass.

On his lack of fights: “The low frequency of my fights was because of lack of opportunity, though my last booking had to be canceled since my legs were injured from the previous fight. So we decided to wait for the next opportunity. I’m always training to keep up my fighting skills and fitness. I knew that at any time a new opportunity could appear, and that’s when Titan contacted me.”

On Titan giving him a better offer than Legacy FC: “After my last fight at Legacy in September, and dropping out of the fight in December, nothing else was offered to me. That’s when Titan came to me with a four-fight contract. I thought it was a better deal. I stay ready to fight at any promotion, at any time. This was a good opportunity for me, so I took it.”

On fighting Petties: “He’s a young guy with the same level of experience. He’s pretty well-rounded in every aspect of MMA. It will be a great fight. Fighting just for the sake fighting is not my style. I like to be entertaining. I will be a great experience. I’ll look to finish my opponent while standing. My training has been excellent and I’m very focused on what I have to do. Now I just have to wait for fight time, so I can put everything into practice.”
