Speaking to reporters in a post-fight media scrum (via MMAjunkie) following The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale, Cezar Ferreira discussed what he wants next after his win over Anthony Smith. Below are some highlights.

Ferreira on his hard work: “I’ve been working so hard during this year. My last two fights were very tough fights. I faced two big beasts. I think now is time to have an easy fight. For the next fight, I want an easy paycheck. I want Uriah Hall.”

On beating Anthony Smith: “In the UFC, they have the best fighters in the world. Anthony Smith is a very tough guy. He is very high level. He was undefeated for eight fights, and he has three times more fights than me in his entire career. He’s a very experienced guy. I’m glad that I could beat him.”

Ferreira on wanting a fight with Uriah Hall: “That’s the fight that I want. Some guys stay in the top-10 division but don’t even deserve it. I’m pretty sure I can beat him – first round. I’m living a very good moment in my career. I’m ready to beat the best guys in this division. Sooner or later, I’m going to be champion.”
