Conor McGregor, Robbie Lawler and Holly Holm Earn ESPY Nominations

Three UFC fighters were nominated for ESPY awards this year. ESPN announced the nominees for this year’s award ceremony, in which Conor McGregor and Robbie Lawler both earned nominations for Best Fighter and will go against boxers Gennady Golovkin, Canelo Alvarez and Roman Gonzalez.

McGregor also earned a nomination for Best Breakthrough Athlete and will go against Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta, snowboarder Chloe Kim and Minnesota Timberwolves player Karl-Anthony Towns. Holly Holm was nominated for two awards: Best Upset and Best Play for her head kick knockout of Ronday Rousey at UFC 193.
