Conor McGregor’s Bottle-Throwing Incident Will Be Reheard at NSAC

Conor McGregor will get a rehearing over his scuffle with Nate Diaz at a UFC 202 press conference. The NSAC announced that after “a very cordial and productive meeting” between McGregor and Anthony Marnell, a rehearing will be recommended on the incident. The statement read, “Chairman Marnell agreed to place the request for rehearing on the agenda of the Commission’s March 22, 2017 meeting.”

McGregor was fined $75,000 for throwing water bottles at Diaz and his teammates during the press conference, with an additional $75,000 to fund a PSA against bullying. McGregor was initially apologetic but after the fine, he grew defiant and told the commision, “good luck trying to get it.” He also petitioning the Clark County, Nevada civil court for a legal review of the incident.
