Cyborg Justino Claims Title Fight With Germaine de Randamie Is A Go

In a post on Instagram, Christiane “Cyborg” Justino (17-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) claimed that she will fight UFC women’s featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie at UFC 214. This has not been confirmed by UFC officials or the champion herself. Justino wrote:

However, her manager told MMA Junkie that there’s “nothing in the works” for the event and the condition of her injured hand is unknown. Her last fight was in February, where she defeated Holly Holm to win the belt. Justino, meanwhile, has said she wants to compete at UFC 214 even if it’s not in a title fight, because it’s near her home in Orange County, California. UFC 214 happens at the Honda Center in Anaheim on July 29. It airs on PPV after preliminary fights on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
