Cyborg Justino Comments on Online Bullying, Societal Values After Weekend Altercation

May 22, 2017 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino has posted a lengthy dissertation on societal values, online bullying and more in a new Facebook post. The MMA fighter posted the treatise to her Facebook account after being cited for misdemeanor battery due to a punch thrown to Angela Magana at a UFC Fighter’s Retreat over the weekend.

Justino allegedly threw the punch over posts Magana made to social media mocking Justino’s appearance. While she doesn’t directly reference the incident, Justino talks at length in the post about how people have treated her. At one point she notes, “While it has been years since someone has said I looked like “Wanderlia Silva in a dress”, it doesn’t feel that long ago that I was listening to someone give me advice on how cutting off my dick would help me to make 135lbs easier.”

She adds, ” When people see these actions of people high profile in the company being promoted through social media without consequence or even a public apology, they see it as an acceptable behavior within the company, and often view it as an encouraged opportunity at self promotion. It should never be acceptable for a company to allow their employees to develop a culture where sexual harassment, racial prejudices, or female discrimination are acceptable in the work place.”
