Dan Hardy Prefers Australian Version of The Ultimate Fighter to the US Series

December 24, 2012 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

UFC welterweight fighter Dan Hardy hosted a Q&A session with fans. He commented on the current season of The Ultimate Fighter 16 in the US and the drunken behavior of contestant Julian Lane screaming, “let me bang bro!”

Hardy commented, “It just seems like every person on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ that acts like an ass has got a Mohawk.” He also added, “I love ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ Forrest Griffin (vs.) Stephan Bonnar made the sport for me. We owe them a lot. But recently, I think it’s got away, and I think this show you guys have got over here has kind of taken it back to where it should be. We kind of got toward ‘The Jersey Shore’ side of reality TV with the Julian Lanes and the Junie Brownings, and that’s not what we’re about. I’m a professional athlete, and I don’t want to see guys getting drunk and screaming and crying and throwing beds in the pool.”

Does this mean Hardy will be getting rid of his frequent mohawk look?

Hardy also answered he’d be up for a fight with fellow UFC welterweight fighter, Matt Brown, who challenged Hardy online to face off at UFC on Fuel TV 8 in Japan. The bout has yet to be signed or made official yet.
