Dan Henderson Says He Is Fighting Lyoto Machida at UFC 156
UFC light heavyweight Dan Henderson appeared on Spike TV’s MMA Uncensored Live Thursday night and confirmed he will fight Lyoto Machida at UFC 156 on February 2 in Las Vegas.
He did not say definitively if the winner would be promised the next title fight against the winner of April’s championship match between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen. However, both Henderson and Machida have been considered number one contender’s within the past three months only to lose out on their opportunities due to an injury and a refusal to fight on short notice, respectively.
UFC 156 takes place Feb. 2 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas with the following rumored card…
~ Champ Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar – for featherweight title
~ Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida*
~ Rashad Evans vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira*
