Dana White: Ronda Rousey Will Not Compete At UFC 205

During an appearance on UFC’s Unfiltered podcast, UFC President Dana White revealed that Ronda Rousey will not fight at UFC 205 on November 12. It will be the first event from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

White said: “She’s definitely not fighting in New York. I’m actually going to start building the New York card this week.”

Rousey has not appeared in the Octagon since losing the UFC women’s bantamweight title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne last November. It was thought that she might be back by the end of 2016, but now it seems as though the soonest she will return is early 2017.

The Los Angeles Times recently tried to ask Rousey about her status while outside her gym (the Glendale Fighting Club), but she refused to answer any questions about a possible return.
