Dana White Says Ronda Rousey Wants to Fight Cyborg Justino

Ronda Rousey vs. Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is still a fight that could happen. Dana White spoke on the UFC Unfiltered podcast and said that Rousey is interested in a bout with Justino, with the only complication being figuring out what weight it will be at.

“Ronda wants to fight her,” White said. “We’ll have to figure out at what weight to fight. But Ronda wants that fight. … Ronda could do [1]40.”

A fight between the two has long been a desire of many MMA fans, but has been blocked because of the weight issue. Rousey has demanded the fight be at 135 pounds and Justino has said that wasn’t possible, with her barely making weight in her last fights at 140 lending credence to her argument. Justino has said that despite the stress of making 140, she would be do it again for some of the biggest fights.

White also said that a women’s featherweight division is unlikely to happen for Justino, despite calls from some for it to happen. “I don’t think so, I think, first of all, there aren’t enough 145-pound female fighters to start a 145-pound division,” White said. “There just isn’t. You know? Cyborg is this one girl floating out there who had that type of star power. She headlined Brazil for us.”
