Dana White Shoots Down Rumor of McGregor vs. Mayweather Boxing Match

While it probably goes without saying, Conor McGregor is not going to face Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match. Dana White told Yahoo! Sports that a report by UK tabloid The Sun about McGregor facing the retired boxing champion is incorrect.
“It’s not true; it’s just a tabloid story,” White said. “And as far as I knew, Floyd is retired and he’s been on a world-wide vacation and hasn’t even been thinking of fighting.”
The report claimed that the fight was agreed to “in principle” on May 2nd and that Mayweather told friends about it last night. McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh poked fun at the story on Twitter, posting:
