Full List Of UFC on FUEL TV 6 Medical Suspensions

November 15, 2012 | Posted by Joseph Lee

MMA Junkie reports that thirteen fighters, including middleweights Cung Le and Rich Frankling, were given medical suspensions of up to 180 days after this past weekend’s UFC on FUEL TV 6. The event took place on November 10 at the Macau Venetian Resort Hotel’s CotaiArena. It aired in the early morning hours in the US and was the UFC’s debut in China.

Since there was no athletic commission to oversee the event, UFC officials did the job themselves. They released the suspensions to the Association of Boxing Commissions.

Le knocked out Franklin in the main event with one punch in the first round. He is suspended for up to 180 days unless his right elbow is cleared with an x-ray. Franklin could be out for up to six months unless he gets his left thumb cleared. Other fighters given suspensions include Thiago Silva (needs clearance of his right hand after a third round submission win over Stanislav Nedkov), Mac Danzig (needs left thumb and left elbow cleared after a split-decision “Fight of the Night” loss to Takanori Gomi), Tiequan Zhang (out indefinitely unless his nasal fracture gets clearance, and six months if a left thumb injury is not cleared) and Jon Tuck (suspended indefinitely pending clearance of his right shoulder, and 180 days without results of a renal ultrasound).
