Georges St-Pierre & UFC Closing in on a New Deal

According to mmafighting.com, former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is on the verge of signing a new multi-fight contract with the UFC. The site reports that after months of on-and-off negotiations, both sides have agreed to terms on a new deal. A return in the third quarter of 2017 is currently being targeted. The new deal will put an end to a three-year saga between the UFC and St-Pierre. New UFC owners, WME|IMG, face considerable loan payments each year, and with Ronda Rousey & Conor McGregor’s futures up in the air as far as their next fights go, bringing back another PPV draw in Georges St-Pierre shouldn’t come as a surprise.
