HBO’s Real Sports To Look At Ronda Rousey On February 19

MMA Junkie reports that HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel will have a spotlight on UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) before next month’s UFC 157, which takes place four days later on February 23.. The special will air on Februray 19 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Rousey will defend against challenger Liz Carmouche (7-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

This is the latest media appearance for Rousey, who is becoming one of the biggest female fighters in MMA. The feature will look at her quick rise helped by her “good looks and fan/media interaction”.

Rousey said in a clip from the show: “I probably get more attention fighting because of how I look, but if I didn’t how to fight and just looked the way I do, no one would know who I am.

The series debuted in 1995 and is in its 19th season. It is one of the most critically acclaimed shows of its kind and won several awards for its reporting.
