Ian McCall Has Advice For Anthony Johnson’s Medical Marijuana Facility

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Ian McCall said that he had advice for Anthony Johnson, who revealed that he’s planning to open a medical marijuana facility. A bill to legalize the drug stalled in Florida even with 71% of the vote, with lawmakers wanting a special session to enact it.

Johnson said: “We’re just waiting on that law to pass, and whenever it passes, we’re golden. We’re playing our cards right. We are playing by the books, so that way there is no issue.”

McCall himself was on board to run a similar facility, but he had a fallout with his business partners. Here are highlights of the interview with McCall:

On his advice for Johnson: “Get a lawyer. Get a really, really good lawyer, and pay the yearly retainer fee. Pony up, because the rules change all the time. When the rules change like that, you can go to (expletive) prison.”

On if he’d like to get back into the business: “I would love to get into one. I need to.”
