Jon Tuck Thinks He Was Robbed By Judges At UFC Fight Night 101

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Jon Tuck (9-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) said he thinks he was robbed by the judges’ decision in his split decision loss to Damien Brown (17-9 MMA, 2-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 101.

On not agreeing with the decision: “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that split decision went the wrong way. It shouldn’t have even been a split decision. To be honest, I feel I won each and every round. Maybe he was throwing some flashy stuff, but none of them really landed. He didn’t wobble me once. (I) bloodied him up real bad, and usually any kind of fight, whether street or in the octagon, professional, that’s usually a sign and indication that the other has done the most damage. As you can tell by my face, I know I got robbed from this decision, and (I’m) looking forward to another fight and staying healthy and coming back strong.”

On his run of bad luck: “The first thing that ran through my mind was, ‘A lot of things didn’t go into my favor’. Because the UFC Manila fight card got canceled, and it’s kind of hard leaving your family. And I can say it’s kind of like the world kind of against. So, you know, UFC Manila didn’t happen, so many people came out to that, and they couldn’t come here to support. So with my family and going to training camp, just – this year is not my year, I guess.”

On being better than his losses would suggest: “Both my fights this year that I’ve lost – they’re good opponents, whatever, but I am a better fighter. It’s just disappointing to go in there and all the hard work not materialize into the sacrifices that you put on the table or put into the whole camp. Like I said – sacrifices. It really tests the strength of you to see how much you really want it. And I definitely still want it. Just got to take some time and heal up and get back to work. There’s nothing more I can do but just thank God for this moment and the strength to endure.”
