Kevin Lee Still Wants Sage Northcutt at UFC 200

Kevin Lee spoke with MMAjunkie about wanting to face Sage Northcutt at UFC 200 instead of Northcutt’s current opponent Enrique Martin. Some highlights are below:

On trying to get a fight with Sage Northcutt: “Trust me, I’m on top of it. We’re talking to Joe right now for it. I’m going to stay in shape. I’m going to stay around 180 pounds. I won’t get too big and make that cut and do it again.”

On calling Northcutt out: “I just know he’s a rich, privileged white boy, and as soon as he gets in there and gets hit and sees some adversity thrown into his face, I think he’s going to crumble. I think I’m a better striker than him. I damn sure know I’m a better wrestler than him, so I think I can beat him everywhere.”

On wanting to face Al Iaquinta in New York at UFC 205: “I want Al in November when they go to New York. That will be the fight to make. Last time we fought, we fought in Jersey. This one I want in New York. I know they want to put him on that card, too, and I think I’m the best fight out there for him. I don’t think anybody else can give him as marketable of a matchup. Last time, we had a barnbunrer. Let’s do it again in New York.”
