Kevin Lee Wants to Fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in July

Kevin Lee spoke with MMAjunkie for a new interview. Some highlights are below:

On a possible fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov: “That’s what we’re gunning for. If he wants to get it on in July, or if he wants to wait till November…if somebody else comes up, we’ve been thinking of some other names, too. … If we can pull the Khabib fight now, I’ll do it right here, right now.”

On Nurmagomedov not wating to fight in July because of Ramadan interrupting his training: “They’ve got a bunch of excuses for why he can’t do it. Whatever…The whole situation is all suspect to me. He just seems like he wants to keep that ‘0’ going.”

On wanting to fight in Detroit: “I’ve heard they’ve put the arena on hold. If not Khabib (in July), someone like Chiesa or Michael Johnson. It’s still a couple months out before I have to think about it. … So maybe we get Chiesa and then Khabib in Detroit later this year.”
