UPDATE: Tony Ferguson wrote the following on Twitter:

Original: MMA Junkie reports that the UFC 209 interim lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (22-3 MMA, 12-1 UFC) has been cancelled. Nurmagomedov was hospitalized last night after having issues cutting weight to make the 155-pound limit. Nurmagomedov has since been released from the hospital, but wasn’t cleared by doctors to fight tomorrow. The announcement was made at the early weigh-ins by UFC officials, who have yet to decide which preliminary card bout will be moved up to take the fight’s place on the main card. Ferguson made weight at 154.5 pounds just before 9:30 AM local time. The event is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It airs on PPV after preliminary bouts on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. It is believed that the winner of Ferguson/Nurmagomedov would have moved on to fight Conor McGregor in a title unification bout.

Nurmagodemov reportedly could be seen having issues at yesterday’s media day face-off with Ferguson. As Dana White got in-between the two, Nurmagomedov told Ferguson to take off his “bull(expletive) glasses.” Ferguson replied: “Have fun with that weight cut, sucking air.
