KSW Heavyweight Champion Wants To Fight Fedor Emelianenko

In an interview with MMARocks.pl (via Bloody Elbow), KSW Heavyweight champion Karol Bedorf said that he wants a fight with Fedor Emelianenko. Bedort defended his title on Saturday with a KO in the second round (via head kick) against Michal Kita. It was Bedorf’s third KO in his last four fights and his third defense of the title.

He said: “I do not know if there are any possibilities that I could face him. Of course this is Fedor. I’d like to face him purely from a sporting point of view. There is some obsession or something. I just know that somewhere out there is an established co-operation with the Japanese organization Rizin. I am waiting for suggestions from the owners of the [KSW] Federation.

He also said that if he can’t get that fight, he’s open to a non-title fight with Mariusz Pudzianowski. He’s a five-time World’s Strongest Man who recently snapped a four-fight winning streak with a second round TKO loss to Peter Graham in London.

Bedorf added: “Since [Pudzian] lost, you can not assemble this fight from a sporting point of view. I think that the owners of the Federation have a different idea on this. For example, we do not fight for the belt. We can always sit down at the table and talk. I’m not closed or reluctant. I am open to business proposals. Go ahead, we can talk.
