Liam McGeary and Phil Davis Share Encounter After Bellator 154

MMAjunkie released a video clip of an encounter with Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary and Phil Davis backstage after Bellator 154. The video clip is available at the above link.

Davis was victorious at Bellator 154, beating Muhammed Lawal by unanimous decision. Next, Davis will now likely face McGeary for the light heavyweight title. After the event, Davis showed up in a suit to answer questions for reporters. McGeary then showed up, also dressed in a suit. The two shared some encouraging words, and then talked about a possible fight in New York, where McGeary currently resides.

Davis then stated, “But then, I was like, ‘I don’t know if he wants to lose – he lives in New York,” Davis started to laugh. McGeary did not offer a laugh in return and did not seem to be too amused, and the situation reportedly became very quiet.
