List of Medical Suspensions For The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale Revealed

MMA Junkie reports that Pat Barry, Marcos Vinicius, Vinc Pichel and John Cofer all will be out for possibly as long as six months due to medical suspensions after this past weekend’s The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale.

Ten fighters were given medical orders after the show from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The Event took place on December 15 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The main card aired on FX after the preliminary fights on FUEL TV and Facebook.

In addition to the four six-month orders, which can be cleared with pending medical consultation, Matt Mitrione was suspended 45 days after his first-round TKO loss to Roy Nelson.

Here’s the full list of medical suspensions:

Matt Mitrione: Suspended until Jan. 30 with no contact in training until Jan. 15 for precautionary reasons
Shane Del Rosario: Suspended until Jan. 30 with no contact in training until Jan. 15
Pat Barry: Suspended until June 15 unless cleared early by an orthopedic doctor for a possible right foot fracture
James Head: Suspended until Jan. 30 with no contact in training until Jan. 15 due to a right upper eyelid laceration
Marcos Vinicius: Suspended until June 15 unless cleared by an ENT doctor for a right infraorbital rim fracture and anterior right maxillary sinus and nasal fractures; minimum suspension through Feb. 14 with no contact in training until Jan. 30
Vinc Pichel: Suspended until June 15 unless cleared early by an orthopedic doctor for a possible left foot fracture; minimum suspension through Feb. 14 with no contact in training until Jan. 30
Nick Catone: Suspended until Jan. 15 with no contact in training until Jan. 6 for precautionary reasons
Reuben Duran: Suspended until Jan. 30 with no contact in training until Jan. 15 for precautionary reasons
John Cofer: Suspended until June 15 unless cleared early by an orthopedic doctor for a possible right shoulder injury
Jared Papazian: Suspended until Jan. 30 with no contact in training until Jan. 15 due to a laceration above the left eye
