Lorenz Larkin Is Glad To Sign With A Company That Sees Him As An Asset

March 21, 2017 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Lorenz Larkin spoke about why he signed with Bellator and his happiness at being with a promotion who cares about his career. Here are highlights:

On his free agency: “I just wanted to be somewhere where the promotion thought I could really help out the company and just be an asset and have somebody that’s really excited to work with me. That was a really big thing for me, and that’s the whole reason why I tested free agency out. Don’t get me wrong; every fighter wants a better financial situation, but I’m not willing to take a financial situation with somebody that doesn’t give a (expletive) about me. I want somebody that wants to work with me and we can come to a mutual deal that makes sense for both of us and have that backing behind me.”

On when he might debut for Bellator: “I’m going out to Chicago for the ‘Rampage’ (Jackson vs. Muhammad Lawal) card (on March 31); hopefully I get a little insight when I’m out there maybe about the time frame (for my debut). I heard talks of Fedor fighting again, maybe a rescheduled fight, somewhere like New York. I don’t know how much is true, but that would be cool.”
