Luke Rockhold Says Knee Injury Worsened, Hopes to Resume Training in August

July 22, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Luke Rockhold’s knee injury took a turn for the worse and he’s undergoing stem cell treatments in order to stave off surgery. Rockhold took to Instagram to reveal the news that the injury he suffered leading into his UFC 199 loss to Michael Bisping took a downward turn.

“In case you’re wondering why I haven’t been in the gym lately,” Rockhold wrote in the post, which you can see below. “What was a grade two MCL sprain turned into a grade three somewhere in the process of my last training camp. I’m doing what I can to avoid surgery and get healthy. I had a stem cell procedure done a week and a half ago. Hoping to get back to training in 3-4 weeks. There’s nothing I want more then to get back in the gym, get back in the cage and get my belt back.”
