Marloes Coenen Wants Third Fight With Cyborg

– Marloes Coenen recently appeared on the Three Amigos Podcast, discussing a third fight with Cyborg. They first fought in 2010, where Cyborg won via RD3 TKO. They fought again in 2013, and in that fight Cyborg won via RD4 TKO. Here is what Coenen had to say…

On a Third Fight With Cyborg: “I’ve been saying it for a while, I want her to come over to Bellator. I want to fight her again and I think she should not be fighting at 135. I think the UFC should respect her and give her the time to get her weight right. She’s an amazing athlete and she should get that chance. I think if she comes to Bellator, she will definitely get that chance. I’m up for that third fight!”

On Cyborg and Rousey Eventually Fighting: “I think Ronda is waiting for a few more years so that there’s a little bit more build-up so she can make more money when it goes to PPV. In the end, they will fight. I think so, yeah. I don’t think it will be at 135, because I don’t think Cyborg can make it. She has a really tough time making 145 already, and I think she will lose so much power and muscle. I was making 135, and I always made it, but when I was in the cage, I felt like a ghost with no power. I think a drop to 135 will change her as a fighter and I don’t think it’s the best solution for her.”
