– Following his victory at RFA 37, Matthew Lopez spoke with mmajunkie.com, here are the highlights…

On Speaking With Dana White: “Afterward, I got to speak with him for a little while,” Lopez said. “I talked to him after the fight while I was in the cage. I came down and thanked him for coming and letting me perform for him, basically. He told me to stay and he wanted to talk to me back in the locker room. We kind of just spoke and he said that he was really impressed with my performance and we’re going to talk soon. In my eyes, I’ve got to go about my day-to-day life and I can’t wait on the UFC to call me every single day. If it happens, it happens and I’ll be happy but I’ve got to keep going.”

On His Performance at The Event: “I was taken down by the guy and I was really upset that I got taken down,” Lopez said. “I was pretty pissed off at myself after the fight and I walked over to the side of the cage he was on and said, ‘Hey, I’m better than that. I can do better than that. I should have done better than that.’ He said, ‘No, that was awesome.’ and gave me a thumbs up.”
