Max Griffin Discusses His UFC 202 Bout With Colby Covington

August 9, 2016 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– Max Griffin recently spoke with mmajunkie.com about his UFC 202 fight with Colby Covington (pictured), here are the highlights…

On His Upcoming Bout With Colby Covington: “It was 32 days when I got the call, so that’s plenty of time. A lot of these guys come in on four days’ notice, a week’s notice, 10 days’ notice. They fly you out that week, so you take a few days off that and you have guys trying to cut weight in two days and have to go fight. Thirty-one days? That’s plenty of time. “I was in the gym and I was planning on fighting in September anyway. I’m in shape. I’m ready. Thirty-one days is a blessing.”

On How He Fights: “I’m a finisher, I’m unorthodox, I knock people out, I choke people out,” Griffin said. “I’ve beat good names and I mean, if you go look at my highlights you’ll see what’s coming.”
