Michelle Waterson Isn’t Worried About Her Ranking

July 26, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Michelle Waterson spoke with MMAjunkie about her fight with Aisling Day at UFC Fight Night 93. Some highlights are below:

On coming back form injury: “If it was up to me, I’d have been fighting last December against Tecia Torres. But I blew my knee in training camp. When my knee got better, I rebroke my hand. It was just a string of injuries. It was my body telling me I needed to slow down and let it heal. That’s what I did and I’m back in the gym training hard. Holly has been motivating me every day getting ready for her fight. I have another teammate fighting next week at Invicta. All those ladies are motivating me to get back in there and go hard.”

On her current ranking: “It is what it is. I think I’m like eleventh or something but I’m not really concerned about that. I have a fight coming up and I’ll be able to show everybody what I’ve been working on this past year. My work will speak for itself and I’ll move up the rankings.”
