Mike Swick recently spoke with MMAjunkie about his bout with Matt Brown at UFC on FOX 5. Check out the highlights:

On not being satisfied his knockout win over DaMarques Johnson at UFC on FOX 4: “The first round, to me, was embarrassing.”

On being more used to the competition again after being on the bench for two years: “At least now going into Seattle, I know what to expect because I just went through it. It wasn’t as hard to get adjusted as I thought, even though in the beginning, it was a bit overwhelming.”

On what he’s been working on in training: “I work so hard on my ground … so I’m definitely going to show a better version of that in this fight. Hopefully, this fight will hit every area so I can showcase a little bit better in some of the areas where I felt, in the first fight, wasn’t the best of my abilities.”

On his UFC on FOX 5 fight: “I honestly think that we’re going to clash, and it’s going to be over fairly quick. I just can’t imagine that we would punch each other in the face for three solid rounds without anything happening…If it goes to the later rounds, which I’m prepared for considering he is a tough guy and likes to get in those long fights, I should be more than ready to keep a fast and explosive pace for those three rounds.”
