Milton Vieira Wants to Knock Godofredo Pepey Out

January 17, 2013 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Milton Vieira recently spoke about his fight with Godofredo Pepey at UFC on F/X 7 and more. Check out the highlights:

On what he learned from his UFC debut at UFC 147, where he drew: “The phrase that fits this is: ‘Don’t leave it in the hands of the judges’…I’m not going to complain. I do feel I landed the most significant strikes. But that’s in the past. I’m moving forward and making sure this doesn’t happen again. I’m sure maybe one more takedown or a little more dominance from the top could have made the difference, but hindsight is 20/20.”

On Pepey: “I don’t know what mindset he’ll be in. I know that I’m very hungry to get this victory for myself, for Brazilian Top Team, for my family. I’m ready for him, no matter how he comes. I’m fully healthy and fully trained.”

On his hopes for the fight: “I very much wish to get my first KO victory. Each time, I look for it more and more. I keep working on my standup. It should happen soon. But if I get another sub, I’ll be happy. People associate me with the anaconda choke, and that would be fine too. I always aim to please the fans.”
