During her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award at last night’s Golden Globes ceremony, Meryl Streep used her speech to take shots at President-elect Donald Trump. When the topic of immigration came up, she made a comment that didn’t sit well with fans of MMA and NFL.

She said: “So Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. And if we kick them all out you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.

Dana White, the President of the UFC and a known Trump supporter, didn’t take the comments well, calling her an “uppity, 80-year-old lady.” He told TMZ: “Of course it’s an art. These fighters, these men and women are so talented…saying something stupid like that is like saying…she’s not a talented actress which she is. We have fighters from all over the world…She’s not educated about the sport and that was a completely uneducated comment.

Meanwhile, Bellator President Scott Coker took a friendlier approach and invited her to attend Bellator 170 in an open letter. He wrote:

Other fans of both sports were less kind.
