Nevada State Athletic Commission May Remove Marijuana From Banned Substances List

TMZ reports that the Nevada State Athletic Commission is considering removing marijuana (cannabinoids) from their Prohibited Substances list, which affect any athletes who compete there. This comes after the state of Nevada legalized marijuana. There will be a meeting to discuss it on Friday and it’s looking like it will be removed. If this happens, it will take three months to go into effect.

Nick Diaz was once given a five year ban after testing positive for marijuana, a controversial decision that was eventually reduced to eighteen months.
