Nick Diaz Released From Jail Following DUI Sentence

Nick Diaz had one day in prison to serve due to his DUI charges, but he did less than two hours. FOX Sports reports that Diaz was released from jail today by noon PT after having checked in at 10:11 PT to serve a day in prison on the charges. Diaz had been sentenced to two days but one was credited based on time served following his arrest.

The sentence was in relation to two separate DUIs; one in which he attempted to destroy evidence in September of 2014 and the other from July 2013. He pled no contest to the DUI in exchange for other charges being dropped.

Diaz is currently serving a temporary suspension for his failed drug test after UFC 183, where he tested positive for marijuana metabolites. His NSAC hearing has been delayed several times in relation to that.
