Pat Cummins Explains Positives For His Loss to Glover Teixeira

Speaking after his devastating loss to Glover Teixeira at the post-fight press conference for UFC Fight Night 77 (via MMAjunkie), UFC light heavyweight fighter Pat Cummins discussed what he’s taking away from the loss and how it can help him in the future. Below are some highlights.

Cummins on his love for Brazil despite the loss: “Brazil’s always been a place that – I’ve had my greatest wins here, so I love Brazil; this isn’t going to tarnish that for me. I had a tough fight tonight. Glover’s a guy I really respect and look up to. It sucks, but I left my heart in there and I just need to stick to the game plan next time.”

Cummins on positives to take from the loss: “I always take more positives away from the losses. It’s hard to watch, but when I go back and watch it I see what I’m doing wrong and that’s the best criticism I can get. It’s going to help me in the future.”
