Patrick Cote Says His Chin Will Help Him Against Alessio Sakara At UFC 154
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Patrick Cote (17-8 MMA, 4-8 UFC) says that his durable chin will help him against his UFC 154 opponent Alessio Sakara (15-9 MMA, 6-6 UFC). The two will fight on the preliminary card on FX.
On needing a win: “For me, it’s one fight at a time. I just had a fight in the UFC; they brought me back. I lost my first fight back, but that was on short notice. They gave me a chance to prove myself, and I have to prove to them that they made the right choice to bring me back.”
On his advantage: “On paper, I have a way better chin than him. He’s been stopped a couple times in the UFC; he’s been knocked out. I’ve never been rocked in my life.”
On why he liked seeing Cung Le knock out Rich Franklin: “I went three rounds. It was the first time he went (the distance), and especially what I saw in his last fight, knocking out Franklin, I look good.”
