Phil Davis Can’t See How King Mo Could Beat Him

April 29, 2016 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Phil Davis (15-3 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) said he doesn’t see how Muhammed Lawal (19-4 MMA, 8-3 BMMA) could possibly beat him at Bellator 154. Here are highlights:

On his advantages over Lawal: “I think I’m quicker, stronger, faster, I’m the bigger guy, the better grappler.”

On how long the fight goes: “It honestly makes no difference to me. I prepared for two fights that night, which is pretty crazy to do. I don’t really understand how that would have worked out had I gone the distance both fights, but I think either way, I’m at an advantage. I have the advantage in this situation.”

On King Mo’s strengths: “Where I think his advantage lies, I’d say, is wrestling, but he doesn’t really use his wrestling in MMA. So I think I put together a better package.”
