Phil Davis vs. Ryan Bader Set For Bellator 180

April 25, 2017 | Posted by Joseph Lee

MMA Junkie reports that Bellator light heavyweight champion Phil Davis (17-3 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) has replaced Muhammed Lawal against Ryan Bader (22-5 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at Bellator 180. With the replacement, the fight is now a title fight. The event happens on June 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It will appear on the Spike TV portion of the card before the rest airs on PPV. Lawal was forced to back out due to a nagging injury.

This will actually be a rematch of a fight the two had at UFC on FOX 14 in January 2015, which Bader won by split decision. Davis finished his UFC contract after that and went to Bellator.
