October 2, 2015 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Ricardo Lucas Ramos (7-0) said his goal is to win the Legacy FC featherweight title and then go on to the UFC. He will fight Cody Walker (5-2) tonight at Legacy FC 46 in Allen, Texas. It airs on AXS TV. Here are highlights:

On his goals: “I mainly think about getting a UFC belt. My goal is train my hardest so I’ll never lose. Of course, that will happen eventually, but I’m doing my best to remain undefeated. I am confident that my will power will propel me to the Legacy belt first. That’s very important for my career. I feel it will raise my profile so I can get that call from the UFC. I aim to do an excellent job in the UFC. I may even lose a few once I get there, but I know I’ll be their champion, regardless of however many fights it takes. I know I’ll get there.”

On winning quickly: “My preference is to always win as quickly as possible. I always look for that. Of course, sometimes it’s not possible. But that’s my fight style. I always move forward aggressively to get a knockout or submission.”

On being the best: “I’m not here to be just another fighter. I’m here to be the best fighter in my weight class. Not just mine, but I also dream to be a multiple weight class belt holder. I plan to keep challenging the higher weight classes until someone can stop me. Keep an eye on me.”
