Ruslan Magomedov Notified of Potential Anti-Doping Violation
Ruslan Magomedov has been notified of a potential anti-doping violation by the USADA. The UFC issued a statement on Monday saying that the fighter, who was forced out of his UFC 204 fight with Stefan Struve due to an infection, has been notified as well as the organization.
The official UFC statement reads, “The UFC organization was notified that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Ruslan Magomedov of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection made on September 7, 2016.
USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
